Transparency in Coverage

The federal Transparency in Coverage Rule requires certain group health plans to disclose on a public website information regarding in-network provider rates for covered items and services, out-of-network allowed amounts and billed charges for covered items and services, and negotiated rates and historical net prices for covered prescription drugs in three separate machine readable files (“MRFs”). Pursuant to regulations from the Departments of the Treasury, Labor, and Health and Human Services, the MRFs for the Blue Options ASO and Blue Options with H.S.A. Fund ASO (the “Medical Plan”) can be found at the link below:

The MRFs are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.
